THIS WEEK’S PROGRAM

Estado29kids

For more than a decade, Club Member Jorge Vazquez has payed a large role in supporting Estado 29 orphanage in San Antonio de las Minas, Mexico, near Ensenada in Baja California. In recent months our Club has heard more and more about the orphanage as we seek ways to help.

Our Club provided spread-the-word assistance with a restaurant fundraiser in October of 2015 as the generous oner of os Gringos Locos in La Cañada donated a portion of the dinner checks to the orphanage. And, just a few weeks ago, our community partner San Fernando Valley Japanese Language Institute conducted a school supplies drive among parents, kids, staff, and community members and gathered three full boxes of much-needed supplies for the kids at Estado 29.

This week, we had the chance to sit down with Jorge for a full Program so he could teach us and our visitors more about the orphanage, the kids, the history, the needs, and the opportunity to help.
