2 April 2012 — It’s Magazine Month!

MESSAGE FROM THE (PROVISIONAL) PRESIDENT

Who do you know around town who would be a great Rotarian and fantastic addition to our team?

Coming out of our monthly gathering on Sunday 1 April (no joke!), we are looking to begin an initiative to help promote all Rotary events in the San Fernando Valley, Burbank, and Glendale, with our fellow Rotary Clubs around town. We are all on the same team.

We are also spinning with some great ideas for fun and top-flight fund raising events, so that we can begin the process of supporting bigger service projects for ourselves and supporting other worthy causes such as ShelterBox.

THIS WEEK’S PROGRAM

April is “Magazine Month” in Rotary…time to recognize the various publications around the world keeping us up to date on Rotary activities outside of our own back yards.

As a Rotarian, once our Club charters, each of us automatically receives a subscription to the US-based Rotarian Magazine.  It is always a wealth of images, stories, and ideas.

You can find a selection of the major articles in the magazine through the Rotary website, and that’s this week’s program…read the magazine!  Here you go: APRIL 2012 ROTARIAN.

You can look through past issues as well.

Also, just for fun, take a look at this page, listing all of the monthly publications from all over the world, and the vast array of languages: REGIONAL MAGAZINES.

Visiting Rotarians from around the world…which magazine do you read?  Tell us, please!

The opinions expressed by guest speakers are those of the speaker(s) and not necessarily of the Rotary E-Club of The Greater San Fernando Valley or its members. No endorsement is implied. Programs are presented for informational purposes only.

  1. Looks like a terrific magazine. Looking forward to reading more articles.

  2. Interesting to see the regional magazines. I’m really surprised at the number of Rotary chapters in Africa.
