The mission of Therapeutic Living Centers for the Blind, in Reseda, California, is to create “a supportive and encouraging environment for those with developmental disabilities and blindness.”  On Saturday afternoon, 16 November, most of the E-Club Members enjoyed an informative and uplifting visit to the campus, touring the new facilities in the recently-acquired Reseda Women’s Center next door and the existing residential and education facilities.

Our Club has applied for a District Community Grant, which along with our own Club contribution will build and stock bookshelves in the new library.  In fact, here we are in the location where those books will live.

Quickly, here’s a side-trip for you to TLC’s website, as well as a direct link to their current newsletter.

Expect more photos from our visit soon, but first please enjoy the wonderful presentation by Cyndi McAuley, Executive Director of Therapeutic Living Centers for the Blind.  Then we’ll have a few photos to show you right now.
