This month’s Rotary E-Club E-wareness campaign presents information about bone marrow donation.  Throughout the month our Club will provide resources gathered by our Club Member Roy Glickman, this month’s coordinator.  The information will be helpful to you and to the people you care about.  See the campaign by clicking here.

PROJECT REPORT

On Sunday, November 16, the Club hosted our seventh ONE MORE ITEM Food Drive, in support of Valley Food Bank.  Generous shoppers at Gelson’s Sherman Oaks were asked to add just one extra item to their shopping and leave it with us.  At the end of the day, once again we had five full barrels to help the food-insecure around the San Fernando Valley.  Our next public Food Drive is set for February 8.

This time we had another “Benevolent Secret Weapon,” as Club Member Sharon Gorrell’s eight-year-old granddaughter worked a full two-hour shift and gathered a lot of non-perishables, because who can say “no” to that presentation?

THIS WEEK’S PROGRAM

Two weeks ago we shared some history of The Rotary Foundation, using the designation of November as “Rotary Foundation Month” as a good excuse. If an excuse works once, why not use it again?

This week we present a random selection of four very short videos from Rotary International showing some of the good things accomplished by Rotarians and Clubs with the support of The Rotary Foundation.

  1. Very informative……

  2. I am rather familiar with the “Doing Good” series of TRF videos, having used them all as “Rotary Moment” videos for the Calabasas Rotary Club. Nice to see them again!

  3. It’s great to see all the different programs Rotary is involved in through out the world. Neat to see how each area has a different need, and how those needs are met to empower people and their communities.
